Project description:
As a result of cooperation between our agency and Onet.pl Group, in December 2008 we launched a new community consulting website. Its goal is to unite different generations and make the family ties stronger. Service can be seen at the address www.przez-pokolenia.onet.pl.
The website is a place where either young people or their parents and grandparents are able to exchange their photos and memories. This virtual platform is dedicated to build new and strengthen yet existing ties among generations. For activated users, we’ve started the contest – “Old histories”. The idea was to send photos from the past along with the stories of taking them. For the winners attractive awards (such as laptops, computer courses and books) were prepared.
Service is also a consulting space for everyone. On the other hand it also aims to support seniors’ activity through the Internet. This goal has been reached through two main website parts: ‘Handbooks’ and ‘UPC E-senior Academy’ sponsored by UPC. In the consulting section users can easily seek for practical advice. This part of the site is divided into four categories: ‘On the Internet’, ‘Finance with Eurobank’, ‘Cooking’ and ‘Health, medicine’. Section sponsored by UPC is a seniors’ guide through the Internet – it ‘gives’ lessons which help them to surf the net and take advantage of it.
Portal www.przez-pokolenia.onet.pl has been completely realized by our agency at Onet.pl Group request. From the functional side, we were especially concerned about implementing the simplest interactive mechanisms. As the site is also recommended for older users, we made efforts to prepare the appropriate design. The website is based on our own enterprise class Content&Community Managemet System - veoC2MS. Within the limits of the project we has also implemented it into environment of Onet.pl Portal.
The consulting project www.przez-pokolenia.onet.pl is still being developed and completed with the new functionalities. The aim is to make the modern world easier for seniors.
